We begin our tour with breakfast featuring excellent Danish pastry and coffee, you’re on holiday after all. Lagkhuset holds a special spot in the history of Danish baking. If you prefer, you can swap coffee for tea and instead of pastry, try their delightful sourough buns.
Rugbrød, the sourdough rye bread, is absolutely essential to a Dane— like pasta is to an Italian or rice to a Chinese! It's a cornerstone of our diet. You can make amazing smørrebrød with all sorts of toppings, but we can't recommend herring enough—it's a must-try! And if herring doesn't tickle your taste buds, no worries! We've got plenty of scrumptious smørreød options waiting for you at our second stop!
Get ready for a fantastic surprise at Torallerne! This lively food market is overflowing with local and artisanal delights from all over the world.
As you explore the colorful stalls, you'll indulge in a curated tasting that showcases the region's culinary gems.
From Torvehallerne we take the metro to Frederiksberg
There are ordinary hotdogs, and then there are Danish hotdogs. Honestly, the toppings we Danes add to a "ristet med hele" truly elevate it to claim the title of the world's best hotdogs. Don't believe us? Come taste for yourself and decide!
It's dessert time, and the choice is yours! How about some homemade caramels, chocolate, or ice cream? Would you like a drink, wine or beer? Or are you in the for more pastries or porridge? Jægersborggade all of this and more. It's a favorite spot for locals seeking boutique shopping.
