ABOUT THIS TOUR
Our Viking tour begins at the Rosilde Viking Ship Museum, home to five original Viking ships. Skilled craftsmen have created :1 replicas of each ship, which guests can sail during the summer months. This fantastic, informative, and family-friendly museum also offers delicious Viking cuisine, an excellent introduction to the Viking era.
In Roskilde, we will also explore the Roskilde Cathedral, known for housing the world's largest collection of royal tombs and representing Denmark's transformation from a Viking kingdom to a Christian realm.
Lastly, we drive to Trelleborg, a ring fortification built by Harald Blåtand in 980 and is a testimony of his and Denmarks power at the time. Trelleborg features engaging museum, a longhouse, and several smaller replica houses, all of which are fascinating to explore.
From Trelleborg there is about 75 min drive back to Copenhagen, giving us plenty of time to talk about vikings and their fascinating Norse Mythology
