ABOUT THIS TOUR

This tour is an easy walking tour in the old charming city of Copenhagen, preferably in the dark to put you in the right Christmas spirit.

We cannot promise a White Christmas, but we can promise hygge, the famouse Danish word for a good time. Hygge is not the only emotion you'll get, we are sure you'll be sad when we talk about Hans Christian Anderson story The Little Match Girl. You will be surprised when you learn about the connection between Vikings, superstition and Christmas Elves. We lift your Christmas spirit with the help of Selma Lagerlöf and we keep you warm with gløgg and cookies and keep you entertained with many good stories about Danish Christmas.

Book this tour if you want to hygge with your friends and family and enjoy Copehagen in the dark and Danish Christmas  .

Our meeting and starting point. We see the Christmas market and the decoration of Hotel d'Angleterre and their two contributions to Danish Christmas

Christiansborg Palace home to the Parliament and our setting for a longer but life-affirming story of the Winter Rose by Selma Lagerlöf.

Somebody took cut of a tree and put in their apartment, with candlelights on it. Pure madness. Hear about the first danish Christmas tree and who invited the concept of a Christmas tree

Christmas is hygge, family, presents and good food. For most os us. But as we indulge in Christmas treats, perhaps it is in place to remind ourselves of Hans Christian Andersens The Little Girl With the Matches.

The gayest bar in town, or just the bar with the most Christmas decoration on this side of the Alpes? Judge yourselves.

What have Vikings, Danish artists in Rome in 1842 and superstition to do with Santas helpers or Christmas Elves? Everything.
